A quick mind-control experiment, here, if you could.
1. Read H.P. Albarelli Jr.’s June “Strange Story of Sally Hartman” at the Truthout site, about a purported case of a U.S. government employee turned CIA MKULTRA guinea pig. The piece ends with a rather ominous anonymous bit of quoting from an intelligence source about the world post-9/11, about the potential need for a “miracle” of mass mental influence to reprogram terrorists and their sympathizers worldwide. . .
2. Now read THE2NDHAND contributor Doug Milam’s excellent “Future History of How It Is,” published in 2003 at the T2H site as the Iraq War really got off the ground and American civic pride was, at least in my neighborhood, at one of its major low points.
3. Post your thoughts about the connections between one and two in the comments here. Who’s controlling whom?
Thanks, Todd. A brave new world… The UFO tangent is worth following in Richard Dolan’s study UFOs And The National Security State, which prodded my story.
For an examination of “I am an investigative journalist and I am most concerned with objective evidence and facts,” Terry Hansen’s work is illuminating. See http://www.themissingtimes.com/synopsis.xhtml.
It’s also noteworthy for why WaPo published a story on MKULTRA years after the fact.
As for “narco-hypnotic control”, Burroughs was right on the money throughout. And check Ginsberg’s poem On Burroughs’ Work.

Something else I forgot to mention: Carl Bernstein (of Woodward & Bernstein fame) on ‘The CIA and The Media’:

And a little-known article from The New York Times, February 21, 1967: http://www.namebase.org/steinem.html
I have to say, as awful as the subject matter is, I’m very familiar with it, so instead of dismayed, I feel pretty darn thrilled to see this information being disseminated here, with the excellent articles, links including those above in the comments by Doug Milam. Thank you, Todd Dills, for bringing these things to the public’s attention. So many people are afraid to, but it’s time.
I call for what I call Lucid Fiction, which not only includes fiction but non fiction, anything that casts light on things like that that have been covered up. Our society is in the process of becoming more lucid about the mind control that has influenced our culture so intensely, from music to Disneyland to the news to wars. It’s like waking up inside a dream and realizing it is an illusion (fiction).
The material that acknowledges that new paradigm is what I call Lucid Fiction, and call for more more sites such as this one to spread. I’ve worked with it in my ways, such as being on the staff of MKzine, the kind of thing which gives one an uneasy feeling, but which is so rewarding, because it helps those who have been controlled a chance to be understood, and to understand. Not only individuals under traumatic methods of control, but our whole country, with methods such as the 911 news repetitions being forms of traumatic brainwashing in itself.
So, as someone coming at this from 3 decades of intensive study, I have to say, this is a very valid set of links. The list of human experiments could be much more inclusive than it is.
Who is being controlled? All of us are. And the more fluoride we take in through our water supply, the less we are going to do about it, as it damages the part of the brain that reacts to that.
What can we do? If nothing else, listen to those who tell you their stories about mind control. Maybe I’m a magnet for it, but a large number of people have told me theirs. Of course, you have to realize there may be some level of insanity in some you encounter, but also realize that that’s built in to the programming, one reason being to throw their listeners off.
Be kind to them, compassionate. These people are faced with a society that is only starting to become lucid on this topic, and have faced disbelief everywhere. Imagine that.
Thank you.
Thanks, Tantra. I enjoyed your interview here: http://retort.brentley.com/retortpress/2010/03/22/interview-with-tantra-bensko-on-lucid-fiction/
